That’s the work I’ve spent my career doing.I’m Tom Clough, and for more than two decades I’ve been the stabilizing force behind organizations navigating growth, transition, and increasing operational demands. My strength is connecting strategy to daily execution, setting the stage for big ideas to actually happen. Local to the Greater Kansas City Area.Throughout my career, I’ve led operational transformation, governance, compliance, financial reporting, risk management, and organizational design inside RIAs, broker‑dealers, and financial services firms. I’ve been the right hand to founders, CEOs, boards, and leadership teams who needed clarity, alignment, and disciplined execution.

Throughout my career, I’ve led operational transformation, governance, compliance, financial reporting, risk management, and organizational design inside RIAs, broker‑dealers, and financial services firms. I’ve been the right hand to founders, CEOs, boards, and leadership teams who needed clarity, alignment, and disciplined execution.For example, as President and Chief Compliance Officer of Barber Financial Group, I was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the firm, freeing up the founder to spend time doing the things he was passionate about, which was mentoring the next generation of advisors, helping clients live a better life, and spending time with family. During my tenure at Barber Financial Group, the firm’s assets under management grew from approximately $700 million to just short of $2 billion. Barber Financial Group was eventually sold to Modern Wealth Management.I hold a BS in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Missouri, completed leadership programs through the Wharton Securities Institute and the Center for Creative Leadership, was the former President of the Kansas City Tiger Club booster club, co-founded the Jake Clough Headstrong Foundation with my wife, and currently serve as a Key Exec Member with Vistage.Work Experience
